Japan Conventions Manga/Anime/J-Pop

Yes! a new topic... cause I go to a convention in 16 days o.o or 15? I don´t know but It´s the Connichi in Kassel (Germany) just one hour away from me!
So... there´ll be Haruko Momoi! like last year!

In Paris there is every year a Conention called Japan Expo. But every year it get more expensive

That´s normal... in germany are many conventions... some big ones.. like Animagic or Connichi... but the Animagic is to expensive I was only one time there... and it was to big... my opinion...
but the Connichi is really great!! ^o^ I love to be there.. it´s the fourth time I stay there!

This year it was the first time i went to the Japan Expo it was a very good day for my friends and me and i have bought nice things (not enough i think)

I have bought 2 DVD's : AKB48 - Himawari-Gumi 1st Stage and Nana The Movie.
I bought 3 singles from SCANDAL too.

Japan Expo is too expensive. They're taking advantage of the fact that Japan is kinda "trendy" among youth to take the money.
Plus wayyy too many people!

The only reason I'd go there is that it could be a means too meet some of the forum members

Well the most conventions are cause Japan is IN! and you see it if you look at the visitors...
4 years ago there was many adults which love Animes/Mangas or J-pop... today are many kids there... talk about stuff they normally don´t know... like 12 year old girls talk about shonen ai or hentai... But the reason I go to the convention is to meet friends... or new people...
In germany is nearly ever month a convention maybe two in one month... or some fanmeetings every weekend...

I totally agree with what you said Hellie! It's the same.
Once I went with some apanese friend in a convention (a little one on manga and stuff)
I was really bad, and expensive One of my japanee friend told me "it smells like otaku down here"

Yes it's cool
I paid Himawari-Gumi 1st Stage 50 euros (it's expensive but there are Two versions => 1st and 2nd Unit). I paid Nana the movie about 14/15 euros.

It's not like that in France.

I know that there are both units at the dvd! But 50€ is really expensive... I paid 35 for it at Yesasia.com ._." But I think I would also pay 50€ for it cause it´s just great!!! ^o^

Yes 12 year old >-<" it´s sick... but not the whole youth in germany is like that... (but many I think o.o ) But many visitors of such conventions are Visual kei fans o.o" and some of them are really nice others just stupid

How much did you saved for Connichi?

Well I need 96€ for the hotel and a few € for the parkspace for my car fuel nearly 30€...
then I got 200€ from my brother borrowed and also 200€ which I saved... but I only take 300€ with me for hotel and connichi... the rest is on my bank account if my car broke down or anything like it... and a bank is near the connichi
